Download, Install, and Set Up Guide for Android Devices

This guide will help you download, install, and configure AutoForwardText on your Android device.

Setup usually takes less than 5 minutes.

Requirements

Before starting:

• Android device running Android 8 or newer
• Active internet connection
• AutoForwardText account

Step 1: Download AutoForwardText

Download the latest version of AutoForwardText onto your Android device.

Or download directly:

AutoForward Text APK Download

Once downloaded:

• Open the downloaded file
• Tap Install

Step 2: Install AutoForwardText

Android may ask if you want to install apps from your browser.

If prompted:

1. Tap Settings

2. Enable "Allow from this source."

3. Return to installation

4. Tap Install

Installation usually completes within a few seconds.

Step 3: Sign In

Open AutoForwardText.

Enter your:

• Email address
• Password

If you do not have an account yet, create one:

Create Account

Step 4: Grant Permissions

AutoForwardText requires several permissions to function properly.

Enable:

• SMS permission
• Notifications permission
• Contacts permission (optional)
• Call log permission (optional)
• Phone permission (optional)

Tap each permission and select Allow.

Step 5: Disable Battery Optimization

Some Android devices aggressively stop apps from running in the background.

To prevent interruptions:

1. Open Settings

2. Battery

3. Battery Optimization

4. Locate AutoForwardText

5. Select Don't Optimize

This is important for reliable forwarding.

Step 6: Create Forwarding Rules

Once setup is complete:

1. Open AutoForwardText Dashboard

2. Go to Forwarding Rules

3. Create a new rule

4. Select destination

Supported destinations:

• Email
• Phone numbers
• WhatsApp
• Slack
• Webhooks
• API endpoints

Save your settings.

Your device is now ready.

Test Your Setup

Send a text message to your Android device.

If setup is successful:

• Messages appear in your dashboard
• Forwarding rules execute automatically
• Auto replies work if enabled

Troubleshooting

Messages are not forwarding

Verify:

• SMS permissions enabled
• Notification access enabled
• Battery optimization disabled
• Device internet connection active

Messages are delayed

Most delays are caused by battery restrictions.

Disable optimization and background restrictions.

App stopped working after some time

Samsung, Xiaomi, Huawei and some manufacturers automatically stop background apps.
